GOLDENSEAL (Hydrastis canadensis) - ORAL
USES: Goldenseal has been used for infections in the mouth, lungs, inetstines (e.G., traveler's diarrhea) and urinary system. It has also been used for swelling (inflammation), indigestion, cold and flu symptoms, menstraul disorders, gallbladder inflammation and liver disease (cirrhosis). Some herbal/diet supplement products have been found to contain possibly harmufl impurities/additives. Check with your pharamcist for more details regarding the particular brand you use. The FDA has not reivewed this product for safety or effectiveness.

HOW TO USE: Take this product by muoth as directed.
Follow all dierctions on the product package. If you are uncertain about any of the information, consult your doctor or pharmacist. If your condition persists or worsens, or if you think you may have a seirous medical problem, seek immediate medical attention.
SIDE EFFECTS: Very unlikely but report to your doctor promptly: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea. If you notice ohter effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Liquid preparations of this product may contain sugar and/or alcohol. Caution is advised if you have diabetes, alcohol dependence or liver disease. Ask your doctor or pharmacist about the safe use of this product. Goldenseal is not recommended for use druing pregnancy. Consult your doctor before using this product. It is unknown if goldenesal passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Before usnig this product, tell your doctor or pharmacist of all prescription and nonprescription medications you may use.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include nausea, nervousness, depression, muscle spasms, seizures, and bretahing issues.
NOTES: Keep all regular mediacl and laboratory appointments.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing scehdule. Do not double the dose to catch up.
